CREST-H is an NIH-funded, ancillary study to the CREST-2 trial and aims to determine whether cognitive impairment attributable to cerebral hemodynamic impairment in patients with high-grade asymptomatic carotid artery stenosis is reversible with restoration of flow. Subjects will recieve a brain MRI perfusion scan to evaluate for hemodynamic impairment. They will also receive cognitive assessments at baseline and at 1 year from enrollment.
